About Sawdust & Pine

Sawdust & Pine is a small independent site that publishes practical woodworking guides for beginners: which projects to start with, what tools to buy first, how basic joints work and how to finish wood well.

The guides are written from widely used woodworking practice, manufacturer instructions and standard references. We don't claim to be a professional shop, and we don't publish made-up testimonials. Where a method has trade-offs, we say so.

Some pages link to paid products, including TedsWoodworking. Those are affiliate links, and they are always marked. See the affiliate disclosure.

Woodworking tools can cause serious injury. Read your tool manuals, wear eye and hearing protection and never remove guards to save time.
